How Your Tithes to the Seed of Abraham Are Used

One of the main purposes of tithing is to support the needs of pastors and the work of the congregation. Tithes to The Seed of Abraham help pay Pete Koziar for his support and teaching, Pastor Lloyd Scalyer for his small pension for his many years of service in pastoring the congregation, for our phone bill, our music license to use someone else’s music and lyrics, our liability insurance, advertising in the Messianic Times, benevolent giving where needed, dance ministry, etc.

Tithing is an act of faith that helps us keep our priorities straight. It reminds us that we do not own anything in this life. G-d is in control, and we are only managers of what He has given us.

Tithing is about the heart. It is living with the attitude that we are blessed to be a blessing.

2 Corinthians 9:7 (NIV) says, "Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for G-d loves a cheerful giver.”
